winter; the longest season in the year. One filled with long and languid days of cozying around the fireplace, watching the pretty white snowflakes fall outside. it's cold out there and you know it -- but you're safe and warm at home. looking out, the stark whiteness startles you. all the houses, blocks, roads, pavements covered in the blanket of white suddenly look so unfamiliar. so much more pretty. you postulate after a while, and come to the conclusion that white probably makes everything pretty. nonetheless, the falling frozen drops of diamond are still the most beautiful.
you think about how each snowflake has a unique design. regrettably, you cannot collect all of them and scrutinize each one individually to see their unrepeated designs. after they fall lightly to the ground, they melt and interconnect themselves with all the others, forming an intricate meshwork. no more individuals, more like... a whole. you mull over how people become unrecognisable once they fall into a crowd; just like snowflakes, they lose their uniqueness. they become a whole. yes, you like
ordinary, average, and non-outstanding. you like how average people follow the crowd. you like everything about the flock mentality, and you use it well. now to think about it, you like slush much more than the falling snow although the latter is much prettier. slush is so much more tangible, so much easier to control and mold just like mobs. but of course, that's only because you like control. you like power. you are Hitler, the all powerful fuhrer. ah, life is beautiful! (for you only, that is)
